Puppets teach directly to children how to make the sounds of letters and blend sounds to make words!
Class experience
Students will learn how to start reading. Using Phonemic awareness and Systematic Phonics and Sight Words. Beginning of the class Pancho my puppet friend will introduce the letter of the day and he will be teaching the sound of it. Using different strategies to make the students lean and at the same time memorize the single sound of the letter. Students will learn how to blend two and three letter sounds. I start introducing a single sound and then move into blending two letter sound "at, am, fa, sa," etc. at the end of this course students will be exposed to read three letter sounds like "cat, sat, fat, sam" etc.
I have taught this class to children who are three years old. This class is so enjoyable due to my friend Puppet. Some children might need extra time to process and this is the reason why this is a self paced class where I use a variety of informal assessments to know if the students are understanding the lesson.
