Class Experience
In this 3x a week Summer course, learners will be introduced to emergent reading skills such as phonological awareness which involves using sounds to decode and blend when reading. Other emergent/beginning reading skills include print awareness where learners recognize print and follow words on a page. We will also be working on many other skills such as making word families, rhyming words, etc. Students will be taught and supported by a licensed teacher with over 13 years of teaching...
This class is taught in English.
Students will approve their ability to sound out words, identify sight words, and read words on their level.
Teacher Carla is a highly experienced teacher with the following credentials; • Licensed Teacher • 13 years of elementary public school teaching experience • 5 years of online teaching experience • Experience as a Reading Coach • Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership • Bachelor of Science Degree in Academic Studies
