Class experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 3
In this on-going class, the students will meet once a week to discuss the book of the week that they will have read before class. We will talk about the characters, setting, plot, etc. using text evidence with the students’ books. This will be a relaxing time for discussion about different aspects of the story and what the student may or may not like about the character or characters. If time permits, we will read part of the story as well. Come along and join the fun of reading and sharing...
This class is taught in English.
*Students will practice Level 4 reading skills. *Students will listen to other Level 4 confident readers read. *Students will work on responding to questions. *Students will take turns with their reading friends.
*I am an experienced elementary reading teacher and have a great love for children’s literature and teaching children to read. I want my students to be excited and confident about reading and I feel that my passion comes through in each class I teach. Teacher Dianne
*Each book will be uploaded into the classroom the week before it is to be discussed. Your child just needs to click on the book and it will open up for reading. :)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
*The Witch who was Afraid of Witches is a fun fiction book about a girl named Wendy whose sisters can fly fast, cackle loudly, and cast spells. But Wendy can’t even fly after she loses her broomstick. Wendy tries to find a way to out-witch her sisters. :)
