Students will read strategically in this course to gain age appropriate personal finance knowledge. Session 1: Learners will collaboratively complete KWL (what I know, what I want to know, what I learned) chart to use with the course. We will begin with the K and W columns today. Before retiring from public education, I spent almost 20 years in the classroom. I later served as a reading coach and instructional specialist, helping teachers perfect their teaching craft and develop successful lessons. The strategies I share in this class resemble lessons shared with thousands of students over the years. The end result was helping students become better readers.
Articles will be posted for printing 3 days before each session meets. Students should print articles prior to meeting. Paper and pen/pencil
