Learners will learn how to read a map and will answer questions based on the displayed map.
Class experience
Three worksheets will be uploaded prior to class for the learners to have ready. Before the class do the worksheets, they will learn the definitions of Compass Rose, Scale, Symbols and Legends. The class will then complete the worksheets together. The first worksheet will be a basic map of the state of Louisiana. The learners will answer the questions. The second map is a road map of Columbus, Ohio. The third worksheet is a blank page where the learners will draw a map of their street...
Students will be learn how to read a map. Students will also be given the opportunity to draw a map of their street using the concepts learned.
Pencil, pen, markers to create a map.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
