Week of Sept 30: Sounding out Single letter Long Vowels with Consonants. This foundational class is perfect for learners who need extra support in reading. It pairs well with my private or group tutoring sessions, where we focus on building a student's reading vocabulary. This class, however, zeroes in on the skill of sounding out words—a critical piece for all learners, especially older students who are still struggling with reading. We’ll go beyond simple CVC words to focus on consonant blends, prefixes, suffixes, word endings, and multiple letter sounds. Mastering this skill is key to reading success and will help boost your learner’s confidence! 💪📚

Hello! My name is Mrs. JaLes and I am dedicated to proving that learning is effective when kids have the freedom to explore. What do I mean by this? From a early age our kids are learning everything from exploring (touching, engaging, inquiring, investigating, practicing, reassessing, and finally conquering). Then they start school and we add structure and try to make them fit in a box. As a homeschool educator, I challenge my students to live out of the box and achieve greatness by mastering skills based on their learning style and interests. It's truly amazing the facts my kids recall without ever working on memorization and how much improvement in their critical thinking skills I've seen in such a short time.
These are the classes I want to explore with your children!
* Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, & Division Workshops
* Writing Workshops
* Reading Skills
* Master Phonograms
*Spelling
I am currently a homeschool teacher for 2nd/3rd and 7th grader. I earned my Bachelor's of Science Degree from Oral Roberts University. Professionally, I have worked as an corporate trainer and process developer. As you can see, I enjoy teaching others.
I am a ball of eclectic fun. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and vlogging my experience. Overall, I just enjoy living and learning as much as I can. I am excited to meet you and hope to see you in the classroom soon.
