Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their reading fluency and comprehension.
I am an early childhood teacher with nineteen years of classroom experience. I taught First Grade for seventeen years and Kindergarten for two years.I have a Master's degree in Education - Reading and Literacy, a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Business - Finance.
While I love teaching all subject areas, I really enjoy teaching children how to read. 
Students will be asked to practice reading daily for at least 15 minutes. Students will be provided with worksheets to reinforce the skills covered in class.
Printer (optional but definitely needed for classwork and homework) Pencil Dry Erase Board, marker, eraser Scissors
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed through classroom observation.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students will need help printing activities. Students may require parental guidance with cutting out worksheet pieces prior to class.
