In this ongoing Reading Tutoring session, I will assess your child’s independent reading level (if needed) and assess sight word (high frequency word) recognition. We will practice reading concepts and/or sight words dependent on parent request. Reading strategies are so important when reading independently. I would love to work with your child to help them build confidence in their reading. Please message 1-2 days prior to the session so that I can plan a lesson that is best suited for your child.
Learning Goals
Student will work in a 1:1 tutoring session with a Certified Reading Teacher on Reading Concepts / Sight Words per parent request.

Hi there! My name is Renee. I am so glad you are here!
I am a certified teacher and enjoy helping young learners succeed and grow a love for reading, writing, and math. I also love drawing and incorporating drawings into Reading and Writing lessons when possible.
I have been teaching for 14 years. I am certified in Special Education (EC-12th grade), ESL, and Gifted and Talented. I love teaching online and am so excited to offer my expertise on the Outschool platform!
As a teacher, I want all of my students to feel safe in the classroom - and know that it is okay to make mistakes! I think it's so important for learners to have fun while learning. My hope is that that they always have something to take away so that they can apply it on their own!
When I'm not teaching I stay busy with our dog and 3 cats! All of our pets are spoiled rotten! My husband and I have 3 grown daughters and love visiting with them every chance we get! One hobby of mine is taking care of my indoor and outdoor plants. I certainly do not have a 'green thumb' but I love watching my plants grow and thrive with help!
