Join me as I read "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens! We will follow the story of Scrooge as he learns to leave behind his miserly ways with the help of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. This is a read aloud class, but we will also view a few clips of various "A Christmas Carol" movies at the end of the last class meeting. Week 1Lesson 1Lesson OneWe will be starting the book during the first class. I will read aloud while students follow along for the majority of the class.Lesson 2Lesson TwoI will start this class off by asking if students had any questions about the homework reading. Then I will read aloud for the remainder of the class before assigning homework of additional chapters to read.Week 2Lesson 3Lesson ThreeI will start this class off by asking if students had any questions about the homework reading. Then I will read aloud for the remainder of the book. We will complete the reading about halfway into the class period and will spend the rest of class looking at video clips from the movies!

- Students will work on interpersonal skills as they discuss the novel with their peers.
