Class Experience

US Grade 2
In this one time class, students will read riddles from slides to make inferences from reading. Students will read several clues to determine possible inferences. It is a fun way to trigger thinking for advanced reading skills of using the current knowledge combined with the text.
Each student will have chances to choose a color that leads to a hidden word with clues. Each clue is exposed one by one, giving the students a chance to make inferences based on the build-up of clues. They are welcome to make inferences with any amount of clues, with priority given to the students by whose turn it is to choose a color and then a clue.

Learning Goals

Students will practice and improve their inference making ability from reading riddles.
