In this one time reading class students will learn to draw conclusions (make inferences) from text and images with riddles, paragraphs and a What Will I Do, game.
Class experience
US Grade 2
In this class, learners will be shown PowerPoint slides beginning with riddles in the way of text clues for the learners to conclude, (figure out), or infer the answers to riddles. Next, learners will see slides with isolated words, images, and paragraphs for the same purpose. We will also play a game where learners present one item that they would use for a favorite activity. They will show other participants the item and the learners will be able to guess, or infer the activity based on...
Students will learn how to make inferences (or make conclusions) from text and from images when the conlusion is not specified in writing. It is a critical thinking, advanced reading skill.
