During our engaging 40 minute class together, we will read a favorite Disney story together. We will have some time to work on social skills, such as taking turns and sharing our ideas with the class. We will work on reading skills together by discussing the story together to practice our reading comprehension skills. Our discussions will also include characters, setting, new vocabulary words, making inferences, and favorite parts of the story. After we complete the story, children will follow my step-by-step directions to make a fun craft or snack that goes with the story! Please see schedule and supply list below for more details. If children want to come dressed as their favorite character from our Disney story, they may do so! (Dress-up is not required) Or if students have a favorite dinosaur, stuffed animal, or figurine from that lesson's Disney story (or any Disney story), they may bring them to class as well! We will have a fun-filled time together reading, crafting, and snacking! Parent support during craft/snack time may be helpful, especially for the younger students. Having snack and craft supplies ready for class will help our class time be more efficient! :) Please note that only enrolled students may participate in class and be on camera. Please let me know if your child has a food allergy and you may need different ideas of foods to use for the snack. I hope to see you in class soon! Here is our schedule of stories: Class 1-Toy Story 3 (*Students will be using strips of brown paper to make a chain for our project.
