With over 22 years of experience in elementary education, including 12 years specializing in Early Intervention reading and math, I am well-equipped to teach phonics online. Holding a Dyslexia Endorsement, certification as a Reading Specialist for grades PK-12th, and training in Orton Gillingham and LETRS methodologies, I ensure a robust foundation in phonics instruction. With four years of online tutoring and teaching experience, I adeptly utilize digital tools to engage students and tailor learning experiences. My extensive background enables me to create dynamic and inclusive phonics lessons, fostering a supportive virtual classroom environment for all learners.

Incoming students should already be able to recognize and write the letters of the alphabet, phonetic sounds and be comfortable reading the following sentences:
When will the fish get fed?
Where did Dash and Ben run on the path?
Learners should come to class with either the teacher provided class print-outs or plain paper with a pencil, marker, crayon, or colored pencil. Students may also use a dry erase board if they prefer. From time-to-time, we may use blank index cards to make flashcards that can be used in class for games and at home for practice.
