Incoming students should already be able to recognize and write the letters of the alphabet, phonetic sounds and be comfortable reading the following sentences: When will the fish get fed? Where did Dash and Ben run on the path?
Learners should come to class with either the teacher provided class print-outs or plain paper with a pencil, marker, crayon, or colored pencil. Students may also use a dry erase board if they prefer. From time-to-time, we may use blank index cards to make flashcards that can be used in class for games and at home for practice.
