While we read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear...," students will participate in a highly interactive and energizing relay game. For every color we come across in our book, students will race to find an object of that color in their homes (all within one minute!). Once everyone finds an object of that color, we will review the color we found and try a variety of challenges if time allows, such as finding 3 objects within one minute! Students will: ◦ Explore and understand basic colors ◦ Participate in an interactive activity that complements the material ◦ Engage with other learners to enhance understanding of course materials

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi and welcome to my profile!
I teach Early Childhood Education classes in all their wondrous varieties! I especially enjoy teaching reading, phonics, and writing. In fact, I have served as a writing tutor for 3 years, hence my love for English Language Arts. After college, I served as an Elementary ESL instructor, which further cemented my love for teaching. These days, I am seeking my Early Childhood Education Certificate.
I believe that curiosity is capital. Kids are born with innate curiosity and it is the duty of the teacher to capitalize on this resource, fostering it to become a lifelong companion to make learning an adventure!
In my free time, you can find me crocheting, playing piano or ukulele, singing, cooking, baking, cozying up to a good book, or enjoying a period drama with my mom and sister (...but probably not all at the same time >.<).
