Description

Class Experience

Join us for Part 2 - 2nd Grade Orton-Gillingham and Phonics Reading Class adventure, where we will become reading detectives; learning, practicing and mastering new sounds through various research based activities. Part 1 is not required, but it is strongly recommended.

Each day we learn a new sound using Orton-Gillingham pedagogy. Every lesson follows the same structure which allows students to start mastering reading strategies. 

Part 1 We begin our lesson by working on phonemic awareness...

After each class students will be provided with supplemental material to practice the sound concept learned in class.

Whiteboard
Dry erase marker
Students will provided will all necessary handouts prior to each class, if needed.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
