During this class, children will be learning about rainbows and how all the colors of the rainbow come into play via a presentation, book and discussion. Rainbows are such a great way to explore, learn and remember their colors. I will be reading the book, What Makes a Rainbow. This is NOT required for you to purchase but if you would like to have this for the class, I have it listed below. I will also have a printable they can color as we discuss the colors of the rainbow after we finish story time. On this printable, each child will not only be able to color but I have also included the word rainbow at the top that each child can trace and learn to spell the word rainbow. This class will be interactive and guaranteed enjoyable for each child. Prior knowledge is not necessary.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello. My name is Tashina Gardner and I am a military wife and homeschool mama to three beautiful girls. My journey with homeschooling started in September 2018. I became passionate with teaching my pre-k and kindergarten student. I find that they really enjoy learning if it includes singing, some free dancing while we sing and story time. I want to focus on helping our early learners get comfortable with the alphabet and the sounds that each letter makes. Along with blending and recognizing those sounds during story time. I also want to focus on math by counting animals and learning to recognize each number. From there, we can incorporate some simple addition and subtraction as well. Since we will be using animals to count, I can incorporate some science and talk about what each animal is and where they live. We can also learn our shapes and learn to uses safety scissors to cut out those shapes. With all of that said, I love these early years. This is our chance to make learning fun for them so that they enjoy school. I look forward to teaching your child/children.
