Class Experience

Learn the Polish language without studying the grammar. One of the problems facing children when starting to learn Polish is the quite complicated grammar of the language.

But there's another, much more enjoyable and more natural way to learn the language. If you listen to and read easy Polish stories many times, you will learn popular vocabulary and correct grammar naturally.

This Polish language lesson has been designed exactly to help children do so. Each story is very easy and contains popular A1 vocabulary only. I will have around 20 of these stories in the complete course. The first story is called, Anna and Her Family.

Each Polish story contains a Polish transcript, Polish pronunciation of words, phrases and English translation. I have also created special vocabulary exercises, to help them remember key Polish words and phrases.

At the beginning of each lesson, students will see slides with key vocabulary. Try to repeat words and sentences. They will also listen to Polish pronunciation and spend a few minutes in this exercise practising pronunciation.

In the next part of the lesson, they will see the short story. Listen to it a few times and practice pronunciation. Then move to the final exercises, because they have practised so much they should be very easy.

It will be all taught through student interaction, slides and each story class will have ongoing vocabulary exercises where they can test their knowledge. I will be offering a compilation of fun and interactive one time lessons to read Polish stories. These fun classes will all be 30 minutes in length and small engaging groups of 2-5 students. I thrive on students energy and interest to interact. There is no required experience or knowledge, English will be spoken it is not a full immersion Polish class. I only ask that they bring the desire to learn something new and exciting and respect other students in the classroom.

Hello! My name is Lisa and I am so excited to be your student's teacher. I hold a TESOL and TEFL Certificate, I have been teaching ESL for way over 10 years to both children and adults and online since 2015. I have taught thousands of classes to young Chinese students and I have tutored English. I am a patient, hands-on teacher and love demonstrating concepts for my students, if a difficult situation arises I will look for a way to make sure the student leaves understanding and satisfied.
I grew up in a bilingual home here in Canada and we spoke both Polish and English growing up and over the years added Spanish. Learning multiple languages is a great tool for world travelers, and it is a fantastic tool to stimulate your brain. I love languages and cannot wait to share this passion with you!
This class will be conducted in English, students are encouraged to speak slowly and clearly so that everyone can follow along. Because this class is based on learning a new language, students are required to have a working camera and microphone.
Along with Polish 101 classes I plan on teaching culture, travel, food, art, Spanish 101, conversational English classes and lots more... I am a fun and energetic teacher and love bringing my energy into the classroom. I think it is so important for students to enjoy the learning process. That is why I am looking forward to seeing you in my classroom!
