This reading mystery class begins with a two minute video clip, setting the stage for their role as a "reading detective." Students will play the role of a detective in a fictional fairy tale town and work cooperatively to narrow the list of possible suspects in order to catch the thief. The thief has stolen a clock hand on the bell tower and must be caught in order to restore time to the town. They will be given a case file which includes a list of possible fairy tale character suspects and...
I will attach a pdf case file folder that students can have printed prior to class. We will work through the activities together online, however having their own copy of possible suspects and reading clues to solve will help them keep track on their own. ** Students should only briefly preview the detective case file just prior to class so they can work as a team to solve the mystery.
