In this class, students will use teamwork and reading skills to solve a fairy tale crime mystery.
Class experience
This reading mystery class begins with a short video hook, setting the stage for their role as a "reading detective." Students will play the role of a detective in a fictional fairy tale town and work cooperatively to narrow the list of possible suspects in order to catch the culprit. We will work through the activities together online; however, having their own copy of possible suspects and reading clues to solve will help them keep track on their own. ** Students should only briefly preview the detective case file just prior to class so they can work as a team to solve the mystery.
