This class is designed for the music lover who may not know what instrument they want to play. Here we will use games, pictures, charts and technology to understand music and how to read it. Reading music is the most important step to understanding what role music will play in a student's life. By understanding music theory and growing their knowledge of what music is, learners will more quickly be able to choose an instrument they will love! Throughout the course we will focus on many...
Each week students will be given one music challenge to complete over the course of the week! This will add up to a total of 6 challenges over the 8 week course.
Each week I will provide the learners with any websites we will be using. Additionally, students will need a pencil and paper. On occasion, students will need markers and/or crayons to color code notes and rhythms.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
