The Tutor For You tutoring sessions was created to help students in K- 5th grade in reading, reading comprehension, writing, and/or math. During tutoring, I can test your child, work on areas of growth and/or work on I.E.P goals.

Informal progress is assessed each class. After each class, parents will receive a short report of what we practiced, how well your child did and the skills we will work on next class.Class Experience
US Grade 1 - 4
Beginner - Advanced Level
During private tutoring sessions, I will help students in Kindergarten-5th grade practice and grow in the following areas: -reading comprehension-main idea & details, WH questions, cause & effect, inferencing etc -phonics- CVC words, CVCe words, word with vowel teams etc -writing sentences- capitalization, punctuation, finger spacing etc -paragraphs or essays- opinion writing, narrative writing, poetry writing, biography etc -spelling- spelling sight words, spelling using phonics -grammar-nouns, pronouns, verbs, conjunctions etc - math- addition, subtraction, fractions, geometry, multiplication, division etc Prior to our first meeting please provide me with details as to concerns, skills/goals you would like us to work on, and any data you have available about your learner's current abilities. If your child has an I.E.P, I can also focus on the I.E.P goals. If you do not send the skills you want your child to work on, we can discuss it during the first class or I can assess your child to see the skills to focus on. I strongly believe that we can work together as a team. I can offer guidance to parents/guardians on how to support progress between tutoring if requested. I am a veteran teacher with my Masters degree in Education with a focus in Special Education. I create close bonds with my students and encourage them to always do their best.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance will only be needed if the class involves the use of scissors, glue or any other supplies that might be of concern to the parent.

Students will need: -pencil -crayons/color pencils/markers -paper/journal book
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello I am Mrs. Keyuanna Evans. I am the teacher your child will never forget!
I have a patient teaching approach and strongly believe in verbal praise, positive correction and having fun while learning. I hope to build students' confidence and inspire them to learn. As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child engage and having that "Light bulb" moment when they understand something.
I graduated from Virginia State University with a Masters in Education with a focus in Special Education. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Recreation and Physical Education. I have been teaching elementary school for over 17 years. I have taught students in general education and students in Special Education. I have taught in both private and charter school settings.
In my everyday life, I am a wife and mother of one sweet 11 year old girl. I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family.
