Students will read/hear short stories that progress from pre-kindergarten emergent readers to Grade 1 reading levels with engaging short stories. The original short stories will be read in each class weekly as listed in the syllabus. This class is great for students who are starting to read, ESL, ELL, have reading struggles, or have dyslexia.
Dr. Ruth Ph.D. CCC-SLP. is a reading specialist, teacher and speech-language pathologist who has helped struggling readers and taught students from adults to children. I have various reading specialty certificates including ASHA certification and have utilized various reading methods such as Ultimate Phonics, All About Reading, Reading Rockets, Rime Magic, and currently teach reading in online platforms.

Assessments Offered
The assessments and/or worksheets provided are take-home reading assignments that the child may do with their parent or caregiver. They are practice sheets outside of the class. These sheets are not required to be sent back to me as they solely serve to enhance the learner experience once they have viewed the videos. There will be no grades in my classes as I follow the Montessori way of teaching where no grades are given. The learner may submit any worksheets back to me if they wish but it is not required.Grades Offered
Neurodiverse learners, autistic, ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and struggling readers may benefit with this type of instruction that supports individual learning styles. Each learner has the opportunity to view the videos again.
