Description

Class Experience

In this course, we will build on what we learned in levels 1 & 2 by reviewing basic letter sounds and simple CVC words then introduce new word families, high frequency words and read simple sentences. Previous courses are not required in order to complete this course. Students are encouraged to join the class that best fits their skill level and educational needs. This class is taught in English.

By the end of this class, your student will be able to sound out basic CVC words, read the high frequency words discussed in class and read simple sentences.

Students will be asked to practice their word families and high frequency words every day and to complete the provided worksheets. They will also be asked to read two “Bob Books” every week starting.

Students will need a whiteboard and dry-erase marker, crayons, paper and printouts of the provided worksheets. Students will also need access to "Bob Books: Set 2”. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
