This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to integrate the basic fundamentals of reading using leveled passages (based on their interest) and various skills and strategies to become more confident fluent readers. They will learn to use skills such as but not limited to: engage the text, summarizing, make connections, draw conclusions, identify text structure, main idea, and author's purpose.
I am an educator with more than twenty years experience serving in the following roles: English Language Arts teacher, Social Studies teacher, Reading tutor, mentor and Assistant Principal. I have a Literacy endorsement and enjoy supporting all readers. I love spending time with children and being a part of their learning process is my passion.
