I am so excited to offer this one-on-one tutoring course. In these private 35-minute sessions, your child will learn key reading comprehension strategies to unlock their potential and build reading confidence. I will use a combination of online materials, such as leveled reading passages and interactive learning games to keep students engaged. I will assess the student's reading level in our first session and monitor their progress and provide weekly updates.

Weekly, we will focus on a specific reading skill. We will read a passage and check comprehension by completing the questions and vocabulary activities. We will read a combination of fiction and non-fiction texts (based on student interest). The skills and strategies will include but not limited to the following: choral reading, interactive vocabulary games, fluency, text features, main idea, retelling, summarizing, cause/effect, and sequencing. Learners are not required to have prior knowledge to be successful.

Week of 9/13: Leveled reading passage/comprehension questions, vocabulary practice with online games, video clip/make connections
Week of 9/20: Leveled reading passage/comprehension questions, vocabulary practice with online games, video clip/sequencing
