Parent will receive a written report with the student's oral reading levels, writing levels, comprehension levels, and tailored suggestions based on the Orton-Gillingham principles, addressing each student's unique learning needs.Class Experience
US Grade 1 - 4
Beginner Level
In this one time assessment class, I will assess students in their oral reading, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, oral comprehension and writing abilities. This will include multisensory activities, engaging stories, and decodable readers. Students will need to have paper and pencil to complete the writing assessment. Students may take this course quarterly or each semester to show growth in their homeschool reading program.

2. Provide tailored suggestions based on Orton-Gillingham principles that will address each student's unique learning needs.

This is a reading evaluation and will assess the student's reading level.
Pre-Requisites
There will be a questionnaire sent to the parent prior to the assessment.
Supply List
A sharpened pencil and lined paper. Dry erase board, marker, and eraser OR chalkboard, chalk, and eraser.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Texas Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Jammie Payne has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and has been teaching for more than 20 years. She specializes in Dyslexic students and has a full schedule of private and group Dyslexia Therapy Courses using the Neuhaus BLS program. She is currently in the Academic Language Therapy program to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist. Jammie Payne began homeschooling when her oldest daughter was identified as having Dyslexia. She supports many local homeschool moms of Dyslexic students.
