Common Core Standards

As a classroom teacher, I have helped students who were below grade level improve their fluency and comprehension skills. I currently use a similar program with my tutoring students who have not only showed improvement in reading but have become more confident in their abilities as well.
Reading may be assigned for practice. All passages range from approximately 200 - 300 words.
I will screen share all reading materials used in the course. I will provide links to Nearpod and Google Slides where appropriate and when used, as well as upload files for parents and students. Printed copies of passages are highly recommended. I also recommend colored pencils, pens, or crayons for students to have on hand.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Teacher will informally assess fluency and comprehension through classroom participation.
