Class Experience

The student will receive help with reading assignments and improve knowledge of reading comprehension skills, including identifying and developing awareness of figurative language, author's point of view, character perspective, identifying the setting, analyzing visuals, determining the main idea, answering text-based questions, and how to retain the information provided in the reading material. The student will also create and keep a reading response journal in order to assist with reading...

The student will improve in reading comprehension and retention.

The student will bring reading assignments to class or will be provided with one when necessary.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
