Reading for Beginner’s Semester Long Class With Teacher Tracy

In this class students will be taught the fundamentals of reading beginning with letters. This class is a group class. It is the perfect class for children wanting to get a “jump start” on reading in a public school setting or home school students who are just beginning to read. It can also serve as a refresher for students who are struggling with reading. Each session will include interactive activities as well as games and additional exercises to help learners practice the things they learn each week. I strive to create a warm and welcoming classroom where student s feel comfortable and are excited to learn. This is a beginner class for students who have never read before or who are just getting started and need a little additional help. We will work on learning letters and sound correspondence, phonological and phonemic awareness, high frequency words, decodable texts, leveled texts and reading. Worksheets will also be included with each week’s lesson.
