Reading Fluency Practice - Small Group, 6 - 9 Year Olds

In this ongoing class, learners will bring their own books to read out loud. Each learner will get a few minutes to read their book and get a chance to listen to their peers read their own books as well. Great for pods, too!

Class Experience

This is a great class for readers who want to practice their fluency. 
I am a very patient, creative and upbeat teacher. I want kids to look forward to my lessons and learn as much as possible.  
This is a great opportunity to learn about other books that your learner may not have considered reading. 
Listening to others read practice reading fluently is so valuable. It is a great way for kids to also gain confidence in their reading and being in front of their peers.

Bring a book to read and be ready to share the title and author at the start of class either by writing/typing it on the screen, showing the book, or sharing privately to me in the chat.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Scribd

1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Please make sure all books are age-appropriate and don't include any violent material or material that is sexual in nature, or touch on sensitive political questions or topics. If you need suggestions of books your learner can bring or read, I'm happy to offer some great ideas. I want all learners to enjoy class.
