In this class, students read and discuss articles from the Reading Explorer Foundations book by National Geographic. 
Students learn essential skills like: skimming a paragraph, identifying the main idea, inferring meaning, connecting pictures to text, and understanding vocabulary contextually. Students will also learn how to provide detailed responses to critical thinking questions. 
The Reading Explorer series is an excellent approach for learners to achieve their reading, critical thinking, and vocabulary acquisition goals.

I have been teaching the Reading Explorer series to ESL and native English students aged from and up for more than 5 years. 
I have created supplementary exercises for each article in the Foundations book and for books 1 - 4. The supplementary exercises include: crosswords, additional reading comprehension, and graphic organizers.
