US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
We will use recognizable images of the ponies from My Little Pony to focus on letter sounds, phonics, and word building with CVC word families. Each student will get a chance to speak and to sound out and the words with gentle guidance. They will enjoy learning to read the CVC words together with the ponies and sing a special song. We will also play a fun game of memory at the end of class where the students will try to find a match. The younger students will love it! Students can bring a My Little Pony plush toy or other toys to class, as they will each have a chance to show and tell at the beginning of class.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their phonics skills through word-building, reading CVC words, singing songs, playing an interactive game, and talking about their favorite My Little Pony Characters! Good for both native English speakers and ESL learners.
