Hello! I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your child's guide on their educational journey. With over 9 years of teaching experience—4 of which have been online—I bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for learning to every class I teach. Whether it's reading comprehension, history, literature, writing, or even an exciting escape room challenge, my classes are designed to ignite curiosity and foster a love for learning.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree, and as a dedicated and passionate teacher, I understand the importance of creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that "knowledge is power" and that education is a key to building strong foundation in life. I strive to make each lesson an opportunity for growth, ensuring that your child feels confident and encouraged every step of the way.
Beyond the classroom, I'm an avid learner myself. I love exploring different cultures, traveling to new places, and diving into a good audiobook. These experiences enrich my teaching and allow me to bring fresh perspectives to our lessons.
In my classroom, every child is valued and heard. My teaching style is warm, patient, and interactive. I love asking questions that prompt your child to think deeply and work through their ideas, helping them to build critical thinking skills and gain a deeper understanding of the material. Mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and I aim to create a safe space where every student feels comfortable asking questions and taking risks in their learning.
One of my key approaches is guided reading—a powerful instructional method where I support your child as they read, offering tailored strategies to enhance their reading fluency, comprehension, and critical thinking. Together, we'll focus on essential skills like summarizing, inferring, predicting, and more, all while making reading a fun and engaging experience.
I look forward to meeting each of my students and guiding them to become more confident, thoughtful readers and learners. Let's embark on this educational adventure together—see you in class!
