Students will be able to: 1. Summarize stories and discuss author’s use of word choice, simile & metaphors 2. Summarize stories and identify the main parts of a book - main idea, sub plots, etc. 3. Increase understanding and recall of what is read including facts and importance of the main idea
I'm offering this class because being able to understand what you read is a lifelong skill that students need. I'm an excellent teacher for this subject because I have years of experience helping students gain proficiency in reading. I'm a constructivist educator that believes in collaboration. In this class, students will be able to create organizers and work with classmates to apply what they have learned in class to their assignments.
