Reading Comprehension Strategy Lesson- Finding Text Base Evidence in short passages ( Ages 6-8)

This class will help students strengthen their ability ability to infer and cite text evidence from a variety of short texts and passages.

I have had the wonderful privilege of teaching/ tutoring students in the area of reading comprehension and ESL( TEFL). I have taught students of all ages, grade levels, and academic skill levels, both online and in regular classroom settings. I believe that teaching should be fun and memorable. I love the challenge of making reading fun, animated, engaging, and exciting, as it makes students want to learn.  Students know when the teacher is passionate about teaching and that passion influences them to want to learn. I have found that positive reinforcement, encouragement, and affirmation really give students the confidence that they need to step out and learn new skills and concepts. I am a life-long learner and it is my desire to inspire that same passion and curiosity for learning on to my students. I look forward to seeing you in my classroom.
Additional Education Credentials:  I have two Master's degrees through Liberty University in the areas of Counseling/ Human Services and Education and an M.Ed. in Education through Western Governor's University.

After each class, a short passage will be assigned to each student to work on independently at home for more practice.
