Reading Comprehension: Questioning is a course that fosters students’ reading comprehension and the self-monitoring strategies that readers use to make sense of text. Students are engaged in an interactive process that involves thinking, questioning, discussing, rereading, and responding to a text. The curriculum consists of 1 lesson. I'm offering this class because being able to understand what you read is a lifelong skill that students need. I'm an excellent teacher for this subject because I have years of experience helping students gain proficiency in reading. I'm a constructivist educator that believes in collaboration. In this class, students will be able to create organizers and work with classmates to apply what they have learned in class to their assignments.
Homework will be assigned as needed. If students are having difficulties with any assignment, homework will be assigned to help improve learning performance.
2 files available upon enrollmentAll notes and readings will be provided by the teacher. Wide ruled/College ruled paper Pen/Pencil
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner will be assessed through an exit writing activity.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
