Reading Comprehension One on One Tutoring for Struggling Readers (Ages 8-12)

This class is taught in English.

Students will improve their Sight Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, and Reading Fluency.  Students' self confidence in Reading will increase due to growth from private tutoring.  

 I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and have been a teacher for 20 years.  I specifically have taught 3rd-5th ELA for 16 years.  I trained in Brain Based strategies for 5 years and utilized those strategies in my classroom for 9 years.  Over the past 19 years, I have completed hundreds of hours of Professional Development and research in areas such as: Reading Intervention, Student Growth and Achievement, and Learning Disabilities. 

Students will be asked to practice reading the Reading Paragraph we worked on that day outside of class. 

Informal anecdotal notes on student performance will be messaged to parents upon request.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
