Description
Class Experience
I am a certified EC-12 teacher with nearly 10 years of experience teaching reading skills to learners.
1 file available upon enrollmentAll materials needed will be supplied by me (the teacher). There are no required supplies for this class.
No live meetings, and an estimated 4+ hours per week outside of class.
Parents please feel free to offer assistance to your learner/s if you see him/her struggling to use the online whiteboard to draw a Flow-Map, pictures representing the beginning of the story, and writing a sentence of what happened at the beginning (first) in the story. This will be a fun activity that we will do once per week. Instructions will be posted in the classroom each week on Wednesdays by 7 pm (CT).
There will be a few books used as a reference in understanding how to identify the "Beginning." The names of the books we will use pictures/text from: "Some Ducks" by Mark Shulman, "Who Has My Snack?" by Cecilia Minden, "Let's Get Pizza" by Meg Greve, and "Max Kicks the Ball" by Cecilia Minden. I will provide the materials. The learners aren't required to have access to these books. Learners will use an online whiteboard (a link will be posted in the classroom Wednesdays by 7 pm (CT) to use for the weekly assignments).
