Description
Class Experience
We will discuss the vocabulary, sight words, and the main word patterns in the story. Then we will complete a shared reading of the text. For instance, I will read and then highlight certain words for students to read to keep everyone engaged. We will stop periodically to discuss important events, identify main ideas/details, various story elements such as settings, problem and solutions. At the end of class we will work together to do a culminating comprehension activity such as a story...
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
