Students will be able to answer comprehension questions after listening to a read aloud. Week 1- Brown bear, brown bear what do you see? Week 2- Bedtime for Monsters. Week 3-Pete the Cat and the bad Banana. Week 4- My truck is stuck. Students will learn how to do a five finger retell, beginning middle, and end, and drawing pictures. Learners will interact with each other and me by taking turns answering questions, agreeing or disagreeing with each other about the answers, and explaining...
Students will learn different strategies to answer comprehension questions after listening to a read aloud.
Students will need a piece of paper, either notebook or blank, and something to draw with.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will use Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? by Bill Martin and Eric Carle; Bedtime for Monsters by Ed Vere; Pete the Cat and the bad banana by James Dean; and My Truck is Stuck! by Kevin Lewis and Daniel Kirk.
