Fluency Vocabulary Answering keyword questions Answering inferential questions Author's Purpose Summarizing Conflict Types Language analysis including identifying hyperbole, alliteration, slang, jargon, etc. Plot Compare and contrast Look back strategies Stages of a process in explanatory text Using prefixes and suffixes to identify the meaning of unknown words Text features including glossaries, captions, headings, indices, etc. Cause and effect
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
