Description

Class Experience

In this class, students will learn four important reading skills that can help them improve reading comprehension, organize thoughts, and increase our understanding of the texts we read. Students will learn strategies that can be used in the future on any text and will receive printable graphic organizers and additional practice on the last day of camp. 

Each day will follow a similar schedule: 
1. Opening icebreaker game 
2. Lesson using slides and discussion 
3. Read story 
4. Apply...

Students will learn concrete strategies that can help improve reading comprehension skills.

Students will be provided with a link to the story/article the day before each class. Students will also need a piece of paper and something to write with for each class session.

2 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
