Description

Class Experience

In this interactive class your child will practice various skills including; reading fluency, answering comprehension questions, inferring information from text, prediction, retelling, summarizing, identifying parts of speech, and more!  We will practice different strategies for the above skills which will also include fun games to help reinforce concepts learned.   Students should be able to read at a 3rd - 4th grade level.

Learning Goals:
-Strengthen reading fluency
-Strengthen knowledge of grammar and parts of speech
-Broaden vocabulary
-Strengthen reading comprehension skills

Homework is optional but can be provided by Mrs. G. upon request.  Students should be able to read 1-2 pages of text at a 4th grade level.

  1 file available upon enrollmentSupply List:
Upon enrollment, you will receive a supply list prior to each week's class.  Typical supplies would include: pencil, colored pencils, paper, whiteboard and marker, and a printout of a file provided by Mrs. G.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
