Reading Club: Kindergarten Level Reading, Drawing & Socializing!

** Dazzling Minds Academy always teaches to 1 student, if you DO NOT see students enrolled that means your child will be the only one in class. Our teachers do not mind, but I know sometimes students want to be with other students in the class. Please reach out if you have any questions**

Welcome to our Kindergarten reading club where your learner will practice their reading in a small group setting then we will take some time to draw what we read and have a socializing time by sharing with each other. 

This class is perfect for little learners that want to practice their reading each week and socialize with friends. See below for a sample sentence of what you’re child will be reading in class

“ It is a hot day. The sun is shining. It is a hot day. The sun is shining. Susie and Mom go for a walk. They see an ice cream cart. Susie wants an ice cream cone.”

This class has a maximum of 6 learners to ensure that every child gets an opportunity to read a few sentences. Each story will have about 15 sentences which gives a full class of 6 learners to read atleast 2 sentences. 

Please keep in mind that if learners need help reading then we will gladly help our students sound out the words until they are able to read the sentences correctly. 

It helps if students have a foundation of their sight words such as “I”, “the” “and”. It’s also helpful if your child can read by blending words together when they hear them such as “c-a-t=cat”

-10 minutes: Practice Reading
-10 minutes: Drawing time
-10 minutes: Sharing time 

Materials needed for class:
-1 file uploaded on Sunday (if learners don’t have printers they may bring a piece of paper)
