Class Experience

This class is for 1 learner to get the attention and help they need to close academic gaps and receive enrichment. The schedule is customized for the number of sessions, days and times, as well as the specific support that is needed. Formal assessments are continuously taken to identify areas of need.

I have taught over 4,500 online tutoring sessions across several learning platforms and worked to improve the academic performance of kindergarten to 10th grade students in the core subject areas of: reading, writing, math, and speaking skills. I am also a former Instructional Team Leader, Before/Afterschool Program Director and 3rd Grade classroom Teacher. I have a Masters degree with a focus on reading and linguistics, have taught in various settings (urban, rural, correctional centers) and have interacted with a host of people from different cultures. I am currently a certified Online ESL Teacher; Reading Guide for BookNook and a Varsity Tutor to support School Partnerships throughout the United States.

Learners are always expected to please come to class prepared with something to write with.
