Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 5
If you're looking for a course that can help your upper elementary child improve their research, citation, essay writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency skills, regardless of their reading and writing abilities, look no further.. As a certified TESOL and TEFL teacher, I specialize in working with children who have language-based disabilities and second language learners. I am confident that this class will assist in their academic studies.

Reading and writing go hand-in-hand, and it's important for learners to respond to reading through writing. With my expertise, I can help your child with reading responses and essay composition in different writing modes such as informative, opinion, and persuasive. We will cover a range of topics, from close reading and annotating a text to summarizing nonfiction and fiction texts using specific strategies. Additionally, we will analyze vocabulary, identify the author's purpose and perspective, and trace the plot of a story using a graphic organizer.

Each tutoring session will be tailored to meet your child's needs and can even include homework help. Contact me to schedule a session at a time that works for you, and I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule. And remember, Outschool has a Happiness Guarantee Policy, so please refer to that for refund policies for ongoing classes.
