In this one time course, students will practice reading and writing simple sentences using a sight word list and a given theme.

US Grade Kindergarten
This class is for more advanced young writers (see prerequisite below). Most students in this class will have already taken my Reading and Writing Part 1 class and will have the teacher's permission to move to this class. In this class students will be shown a short list of sight words. As a class, we will read and practice the sight words together. Using a simple story theme, students will take turns choosing a sight word off the list and creating a sentence with it that fits into our theme....
I have taught first and second grade in the public school system and I have also homeschooled my own children (one is now a college graduate.) Looking forward to working with your child!
