Class Experience
Learning to read takes practice. Hello! I'm Miss Robin. I have a BA in English and Child Development. I have been teaching and tutoring, letter recognitions, phonics, and reading for over 20 years. In this ongoing class, I will work privately with your learner to help them gain the skills and confidence they need to become lifelong readers. We will build phonic awareness, sight word recognition, syllable recognition, and mutisyllabic decoding and reading comprehension skills using stories,...
I will build upon what your learner already knows. They will gain confidence in their reading ability, and build good reading habits.
Paper, coloring materials, the printables I will occasionally provide, and a writing utensil.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will use Harcourt School Publishers Decodable Books, which I will provide during class.
