Reader’s Theatre Musical - How Democracy Came to the Beehive

In musical theatre format, we will learn about government and citizenship through a musical story about a Queen Bee who gives up her hive and a hive of bees who must decide how to manage themselves without a Queen.

Description

Class Experience

**Learners will need to be able to read at a 3rd grade or above level.  

Summer Camp Series

This class is perfect for creative stars and more shy twinklers alike.  Through a ready made script and songs, the class will learn a 25 minute musical which we will put on in readers theatre style, and the final performance will be recorded and sent to parents to watch and be proud of their young stars accomplishments.  

In this 25 minute musical play the Queen Bee's announcement has the whole hive...

The only optional material will be a quick do it yourself cardboard sign to hang around each of their necks which identify which character each child will play.  The script and music will be provided by the teacher.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
