Description

Class Experience

In this course, students will gradually learn the fundamentals of storybook reading, writing, and acting!

Day One:
- Discuss parts of a story: setting, plot, conflict, climax, resolution, and types of characters
- Quick-read the script
- Complete parts of a story graphic organizer
- Begin to discuss character emotions/feelings

Day Two Topics:
- Emotion Act it Out: Practice demonstrating emotions with our body language to enhance our performance
- Assign characters
- Make a character name...

This class is taught in English.

In this course, students will improve their emotional intelligence by getting into character and increase their literacy skills as they read aloud!

I understand how language development promotes literacy and reading comprehension, which boosts a child`s confidence in the classroom and beyond.

- A script will be provided to be printed.
- A graphic organizer will be provided to be printed.
- Days 2-3: Paper/coloring utensils

2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
