Class Experience
Fluency can be fun! In this one-time class, learners will enjoy reading out loud by practicing their chosen character's lines in Reader's Theater script featuring one the following fables: The Ant and the Grasshopper (3 reader parts), The Tortoise and the Hare (5 or 6 reader parts), The Lion and the Mouse (2 reader parts) , or The Boy Who Cried Wolf (4 reader parts). The number of students enrolled in the class will depend on which fable we are able to read and perform based on the number...
Students will read accurately using phrasing and expression during this Reader's Theater based on a fable. Students will build their comprehension and fluency.
I am a certified teacher with 12 years of classroom teaching experience (currently, I teach 2nd grade at a public school system in Nebraska). I hold my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-6 with an endorsement in ESL, and my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist Endorsement.
